About the Author
Christie Bentham's love affair with Stony Lake is lifelong and inherited from three generations of her family. She hopes that this book will inspire future generations to love and preserve the lake. Katharine Hooke's roots at Stony Lake go back to 1907 when her Grier and Mackenzie forebearers spent the summer camping before building their cottages. She has written about local history and is undertaking family research having retired from Sir Sandford Fleming College in Peterborough. Her husband, two daughters and five grandchildren share her abiding love of Stony Lake.
