POSTPONED - Janelle M. Scheffelmaier - Wicked Boise - Boise Public Library Main Branch
This event has been postponed to a later date.
Join author Janelle Scheffelmaier for a talk and book signing for her new release, Wicked Boise. Known today for its beauty, safety, and livability, Idaho's capital city does harbor a few skeletons in its closet. Vigilantes lynched Ada County's first sheriff. A wealthy brothel owner was viciously murdered. The sensational Prohibition-era trial of a moonshine ring that included the sheriff, police chief, and a prominent doctor initiated a morality crusade by law enforcement. These and other stories of corruption, scandal, and injustice take center stage in Wicked Boise.
About the Author:
Scheffelmaier was born and raised in the Idaho Panhandle and is passionate about storytelling. She now resides in Boise and enjoys exploring the mountains with her daughter and their overly-energetic dog. She is also the author of Butte and the 1918 Influenza Pandemic.
