Richard Holm presented by the Selway-Bitterroot Frank Church Foundation

Tuesday, January 19, 2016 - 7:00pm

Join Rediscovered Books and the Selway-Bitterroot Frank Church Foundation (SBFC) for a new reading series featuring local authors that specialize in Idaho outdoors and conservation.

Our first speaker for the new year will be Richard Holm, author of "Bound for the Backcountry," on Tuesday, January 19th beginning at 7pm at Rediscovered Books.

This event is free and open to the public.

About "Bound for the Backcountry": 'The Idaho backcountry has the most unique mountain and canyon flying found in the lower forty-eight states. For the first time a comprehensive history of nearly one hundred of the state's isolated airstrips has been compiled, detailing the construction and historical events of each. Combined with the history of each individual location are fascinating stories related to homesteaders, runway owners, boaters, hikers, pilots, and airplanes. Highlighting the incredible amount of information are maps and over 1,000 black and white photographs.'
