Saturday Storytime - David Habben, Mr. Sherman's Cloud by Habbenink

Saturday, June 1, 2019 - 11:00am to 12:00pm

It’s the little things that can turn around a bad day. Sherman’s bad mood takes the form of a literal raincloud which soaks him and only makes his mood—and the weather—worse. But an unexpected encounter with imaginative children betters his mood and brightens the rainy day, turning pessimism into optimism. Habben’s expressive graphic art creates an eye-catching and meaningful story. Young readers will be empathetic to Sherman’s woes and uplifted by the reminder that the sun does eventually come out again.

David Habben is an artist and illustrator who creates artwork for children’s books, interactive campaigns, apparel and galleries throughout the world, and is the founder of HABBENINK.
