Witches of Yesterday, Witches of Today: A Poetry Performance
Calling all witches! Join the Department of Theatre, Film and Creative Writing at Boise State University for an evening of poetry performances in the gorgeous Keith and Catherine Stein Luminary! We're celebrating our own Clyde Moneyhun, who has a new book of translated poems, “Witch in Mourning [Bruixa del Dol]” by Maria Mercè Marçal, one of the most celebrated 20th century Catalan poets. Actors from the Theatre Program's upcoming production of “Afflicted: Daughters of Salem” will read and perform selected poetry from Moneyhun’s book. There will also be a digital installation created by artist and Boise State adjunct visual arts professor Erin Cunningham and an interactive exhibit about witchcraft lore in paintings and prints.
