Describe what you do at RD books in 6 words.

Introduce customers to a new adventure.

What was the last book you read that you loved?

It is a toss up between Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner and The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune.  For 2 completely different reasons, but good nevertheless!  Definitely recommended reading!

What was a book you read on a recommendation from someone else that you wouldn’t have picked up otherwise?

Mapping the Interior by Stephen Graham Jones.  It is spooky and scary and sticks with you for a long time.  10/10 - good for if you need something spooky but short.

Favorite reading spot?

In the summer, I like reading by the river in a hammock.   In the fall, I like sitting in my plant room with a candle burning and my dog curled up beside me.

Book you re-read every year?

Every year, I re-read the entire Harry Potter series, but I am thinking of addingThe Outsiders by SE Hinton to the mix though.

Favorite part about working at the store?

Talking to the people--customers and co-workers!  I love meeting new people and getting excited over a new book or book we’ve previously read before.  It feels like instant friends every time.

Do you have any good author stories?

Nope, but hopefully that changes soon.

How did you come to Rediscovered Books?

Before I moved here in 2019, I had visited Rediscovered Books every year since 2014, always leaving with a stack of books that my luggage could not carry back home.  Once I saw a job opening, I could not help but apply.

What is something unique to you that you would like people to know?

I am from Saipan, a small far off island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. I am an American Sign Language major as well.  AND I also really LOVE coffee and cauliflower soup.

What are four all time favorite books for you?
