This novel about 3 Vietnam era nurses just swept me away with the honest depth and understanding of the role women do support in a war. The time described while in the hospitals in Vietnam and the sad homecoming for these ladies is so visceral. If you enjoyed WHEN WE HAD WINGS about the 3 nurses in the Phillipines in WW2 you will love this one too. So well written and a great book club pick, can't wait until it is on the shelves for everyone. - Diane

Paranormal romance is what first got me into reading romance novels, so as a recent fan of Ali Hazelwood, I'm so happy she has ventured into this world. The paranormal aspects seem really well thought out, and the story was "couldn't-put-it-down" worthy! A vampire who grew up in the human world has to marry the Alpha of a werewolf pack because of politics. But, can a marriage like this actually work? It was a really fun journey finding out! The character development is phenomenal, and I REALLY REALLY hope this becomes a series!! - Kalli

The Blueprint takes us to a place that is frightening and, yet, not outside the realm of possibility. In an alternative United States, the story follows Solenne Bonet, a Black woman, in a world where women have been relegated to chattel conditions and Black women in particular live lives as concubines in a system that mirrors US History in the South. Interwoven with the story of her ancestor Henriette, Solenne walks a narrow line between then and now and tries to find a space to survive and possible even thrive. - Britney

Yangsze Choo is a master at creating complex and intricately connected characters in her writing, and she just keeps getting better with every book she puts out. The Fox Wife is one of her best so far, with shape-shifting foxes, a family curse, murder, and revenge. I thoroughly enjoyed learning more about Chinese Fox lore alongside a great historical background in China and Japan. Highly recommend! - Kalli
