What’s Up at Rediscovered Books!

Dear Friends,Quirky book books stack

Like you we have been riding the Corona-Coaster, and trying to keep a positive outlook. We have tried new ideas, brought back some favorites, and keep going everyday.

Here are some of the things that we are looking forward to:

Bookstore Birthday on Saturday, September 5

The bookstore is turning 14 this year and we are celebrating with a virtual book and booze night with Zhoo Zhoo Winery. We hosted our first book and booze night on our birthday in 2010 right after we moved to downtown Boise, and ten years of happy bookselling we are glad to be able to hang out with you again and talk about books.  Tickets available here.

Rediscovered Books - Boise is open on Sundays

Come and visit us in person on Sundays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.  We are open to the public all of the other days of the week as well, so if your Sunday is full, come and see us Mon-Sat 11 a.m to 6 p.m. in Boise and Mon-Sat 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Caldwell.

Once and Future Books is open by appointment only Tue-Sat 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

To keep all of us safer, masks are always required.

Virtual Events

Virtual Author Events, Bookclubs, Live Events with Booksellers, we are reaching out through the virtual world to stay connected with our community.  Connect with Jackie Updegraft and Tom Ford at the Unbookclub on Instagram, grab a sports fix with the Pandemic Baseball Author Panel, and don’t miss Tina Ontiveros discussing her memoir Rough House partially set in Orofino Idaho.

Find our complete listings look here  or on Facebook.

Used Books available online

We have opened a digital bookstore on Biblio.com with all of our inventory of used books.  Simply search our store and you can see if the book you are looking for as a used copy is available at one of our locations.  We like Biblio because it is truly independent and has no ties to that large monopoly we shall not name.  Many indie used bookstores are using this platform to stay in business and we are happy to join their number.

That’s the update for what’s happening, but what is really keeping us going is seeing you and hearing about how you are doing and about the books that are speaking to you right now.  We love seeing you in person, online, or hearing from you through messages of different types.

Be well, celebrate words and stories, and stay in touch.
